What is Emphysema?
Emphysema is a disease that is chronic in nature and negatively impacts the function of your lungs. Airflow can be limited, causing air to get trapped in your lungs. It is irreversible, and degenerative. If you're a smoker, you must stop immediately.

How is Emphysema treated?
Pulmonary rehabilitation may help, oxygen may provide relief, and medications may also be beneficial. Some patients may be able to receive surgery to reduce their lung volume, and others may be eligible for a lung transplant.
